'Sweet Tip' oozes class and sensuality. Sultry vocals weave a smoky path through keyboard loops, flutes and Starsky & Hutch guitars to produce a light and jazzy slice of Bohemia with a strongly continental flavour. In essence, it is a thoroughly modern record. Peppered with plenty of "Doo, doo, dooos" and breathy harmonies, Sweet Tip conjures up images of polo necks and Gauloises, outside cafes, and bicycles drifting by on leaf-strewn streets. But if none of this quite makes sense, then perhaps Julian can explain. "It should make you gag to hear it again, but never get any closer to understanding exactly why you like it. That's what I look for in music."
